    confused  I am a 52 year old woman and was diognosed with a 1.5 cm PFO 1 month ago. I have had bad migraines with aura & numbness all of my adult life. My cartiloagist is going to try to do catheder procedure but thinks the hole is to large and may not be able to plug it. If it does not work he wants to refer me another surgen to do beating heart sugrery. I am wondering if he should be  trying the catheder procedure. Or if I should just have the beating heart surgery 1st

Hello and welcome,

May I suggest you seek out a second opinion from another Cardiologist before you make a final decision?

Remember to be your own best advocate and make a list of the questions you have before your Doctor's appointment.
