Help please !!!

Ok I have been having a pain in my chest when biking the last 2 weeks so off to the Cardi Dr I go..Never short of breath etc.. He does blood work , eco, ekg and exam all look great. LDL is 110 HDL is 97 Triglys are 54

He tells me he need s to do an echo stress test tomorrow and hands me a book on angina and a script for nitro !!!! WTH is this ...I am never going to sleep tonight and my bp will be thru the roof tomorrow, is this just a cover your butt or does he think I have a blockage ??

If I fail the stress test does that mean surgury ?? I am so stressing right now im tempted to cancel the apt !

The pain I get I am getting now when I turn my body a certin way. I bike 30 miles a day every day and have dropped 25 pounds in the last 3 months and am at perfect weight. Dont smoke ( did 15 yrs agao not heavy though ) I feel like im 80 yrs old !!

If I fail the test what then, stens, bypass.....Man I thought I was doing good excersisng, I have never had chest pains and never had shortness of breath even now... 

heres my update : flunked the stress test and he sent me to a hospital 30 miles away for a heart cath, found a front aretery blocked and put in a stent.

i cant believe this,51 yrs old hdl chlos. is 94 the best he has ever seen,bike 20 miles everyday....now im freaked out. he told me i was lucky because this is a widow maker....i dont really feel lucky right now more like scared ...

We are told that diet and exercise are the keys to cardio health. Don’t smoke, don’t drink in excess and eat a low fat/cholesterol diet and exercise and all should be well.
