I am been having a problem with heart palpitations. My heart raised to 111 last week, all the sudden I felt dizzy and not myself. I have one of those blood pressure machines at home, and my blood pressure was a little off, but not high at all, but my pulse was at 111. I called my doctor immediately, and he asked me to take the beta blocker again, just for that day and come back to see him in the morning, since it was 10pm on a Sunday Night.
He doesn’t seem to believe this is caused by the hyperthyroid problem I had a year ago, and because I was taking a beta blocker (Metoprolol 25mg) he believes, that it might have help to hide something else going on with me.
I just had the halter monitor taken off me this morning, and it was a completely and absolute nightmare to have that on... I believe was more anxious carrying that machine around that my the actual palpitations, I found myself wired and taped all over the place, and because the weather was humid, it was sticky and itchy, was glad when they took that off. I just have to wait and see what happens after the CT Scan of my chest on Monday, to see if that shows anything else.
In the mean time, my heart palpitations seems to get worse while I am laying down. Sometimes at night I can hear like someone is knocking on my door, and I wake up and it is no one... is my heart beat too loud!
Anyone can relate to this? I am just trying to find a logical explanation to all this. Thanks!
