Here are some other healthy foods for anyone who wants to improve their cholesterol readings and they're ones you've all probably heard of already, but I figured it never hurts to remind ya!
I really love the fiber cereals and start my mornings off with a big bowl of twigs! lol Then for lunch I try to follow with fruits~guess I'm not a huge meat eater, though I do eat it...
Another idea for lowering cholesterol is eating Walnuts! Yes, they're supposed to be very healthy for us, too, they may help to lower your ldl, along with almonds.
Soy is another source of protein to help lower your ldl. I drink soy milk with my twigs in the morning and boy is that good!
Oatmeal and other whole bran cereals are also very good for you and help you to lower your ldl.
Eating Fish like Salmon (lemoned and peppered on the grill with lots of fresh garlic)~Yummy!! Albacore Tuna, Lake Trout, or if you can find someone that's reeled in a whale or seal, that would be a sure winner!
Make sure you drink plenty of water to help flush your body out and keep you well hydrated, unless you have a medical problem that limits your fluid intake. Try a glass of water with a meal instead of a soda.
Here's hoping a few of these ideas help you to help yourself!
Hugs, Teri
