Pain between shoulder blades

Just recently I had a very sharp pain between my shoulder blades that last a day and 1/2. Was curious so googled it. Stated on many sites that it was a symptom of a heart attack for women. Went to my Dr. and she stated that it has nothing to do with a heart attack and that it is muscle. I am quite concerned as I seem to have other signs that something just isn't right. I'm 39yrs old not over weight never smoked. When I walk to my basements steps and then walk back up my heart is pounding and I feel as if I will pass out.

A nurse did an ECG last week, maybe I will get the results tomorrow. I will read the thread, thank u. Just finished reading the thread regarding heart attack symptoms. I am totally convinced that something is seriously wrong and has been for a long time. I recall another visit with the same Dr. in which I told her that while I was trying to fall asleep one night my heart would not stop pounding...it was loud! I had also had a sharp nagging pain down my arm at the same time. Going to get a second opinion. I also have low blood pressure and extreme black out spells...that include excessive sweating, ringing in the ears that leads to deafness and that feeling of doom. This friday I am scheduled to get a heart holster and wear it for 48 hrs. So while I'm there at the hosp I'm going to be very firm and let them now my concern.

Know my body pretty well. I have an abcess and when it was the size of golf ball I repeatedly was turned away from the ER. Even after an Xray. I knew something was dangerously wrong ...the abscess had been bursting and refilling for sometime and I was "living" with all that posion in my system. Finally was rushed to surgery...still dealing with this as it had turned into 2 fistulas...which I knew it had but again the doctors dismissed me.
