Hello everyone,
I am a 28 year old female, had a stroke earlier in May 2012 , identified with a PFO, had the closure done in September. I am now 6 weeks post my closure, i had just have my 1 month follow up ECG. My cardiologist was very pleased with the result.
I used to be a very active girl, running up to 10K everyday before i had stroke. What stresses me out, whenever i asked my cardiologist when can i be back to my running routine, he never gave me a clear answers. Should anyone of you out there know/ had the same experience, please share with me.
I am scared of starting to run again after 6 weeks post closure, afraid that i will do harm on the device. Any advice? Im planning to start slow, building up my aerobic slowly but not sure if my heart could take it. I always have the tendency of pushing myself harder when exercising.
