cardiac issue but no clue what it is

 Hi I am new here:  I have a problem that has been going on for sometime but worse lately. i can hardly describe what it is because it is so weird; just trying to see if anybody else ever had anything like this.

 I am 68 years old; i have had arrhythmias in the past but had tests and nothing serious was found. The "episodes" I get are so strange. I don't miss beats and my heart rate isn't fast or slow.  I will just be sitting doing something, let's say i am on the computer and all of a sudden i get this "sensation" in the middle of my chest; i begin to feel really odd, i think maybe I will faint but i don't feel faint or dizzy. the episode used to last for only 2 seconds but now it is lasting maybe 10-15 seconds and this feeling comes over me that I think i will fall over but then it goes away. i am scared to go to a cardiologist but that is probably what i will have to do; just wondering if anyone ever experienced anything like it.

 there is no pain or flutters; that is why i said it is so odd. i am afraid to seethe cardiologist and i know there will be testing needed. i cant do a stress test on a treadmill (dizzy) and I can't do the Persantine test because I have asthma.

 Hi Clopatt- thanks for your input- i made an appt with a cardiologist for next Wednesday. Thanks for your encouragement. i know it is something that needs to be done.
