rnc76,Wow, I am sorry to read of all you have been through for someone so healthy and fit. "For most thoracic aortic aneurysms, surgery is indicated at a diameter of ≥5.5 cm." Unusually rapid aneurysm expansion has been noted in some patients but I am not sure over what time frame. However knowing the size at this point in time is what is most important. I agree with you and would expect your Dr. to suggest repair of this aneurysm.
