not a good day to day having some angina had to take nitro which haven't had in weeks but guess a  good thing can't last forever feel better tonight but don't think i could dance a jig or anything ya'll have a great night a wonderful day tommorrow yeah

BOB I agree with Teri please stay in touch with us and let us know how you are doing we both consider yu a good friend and  like family to us too, ok try to no more nitro Teri keeps telling me more than 3 call Dr I am headstrong and liketo handle it on my own but please stay in contact with us.

Hi all, have been out of commission since Monday night at 9pm. I'm sporting a fashionable black wrist brace. My daughters dog decided to bolt out the door and when he reached the end of his 25 foot retractable leash he slammed my wrist and top of my and and fingers into the door jam. Let me tell you I was screaming and crying. I had a huge lump on my wrist and it hurt so bad I thought it was broke. I got ice on it right away and the lump went down. It hurt so bad I went to ER. They said they saw no breaks but that I would have to have it re xrayed in a week if not better. Breaks in hands are sometimes hard to see because of all the little bones. I was up every hour 2 from the pain even the vicadin didn't help. It is getting better now though.  They said it is sprained and have severe bruises. When they asked me at the ER if I was being abused at I started laughing thinking of my grandpuppy. The nurse started laughing too and said anyone besides the dog? Needless to say I won't be walking him again. I'll stick to the dog park with him. Well better go for now or will pay for it with hand pain tomorrow. Awwwww, Barb!! That sounds painful just hearing about it - you poor thing!!

Hi Heidi,

Thanks for the kind words.  The prednisone I take is only after a major asthma attack.  I take 60mg for three days.  It helped the asthma...just ended up with some other problems when it was over though.  Can't seem to win sometimes but I'd rather this than not being able to breathe!  I have a lung function test at the hospital and an appt with my pulmonologist so I'm going to mention this to him and see if he has some suggestions for me.

It's gonna be a loooooong day.  Hubby was snoring so I slept on the couch.  I'm so tired!  I could curl up right now and go to sleep.  lol

I know what yu mean I severly broke both wrists in1994  when a car ran a stop sign and threw me off of my bike  2 long arm casts from finger tips to arm pits for 5 months then c short arm casts for 4 more months and I know when rain is a coming and some day's they hurt so much so I can say I know how yu feel. Please let yuor grandfurkid baby  be careful too or let yuor daughter walk her next time ok.

 

Lil I am glad the predisone helps but we are concerned about you  yep my other half snores and has restless leg syndrom it is so funny when they sleep restless we canot get any sleep it is the pits.

Good luck at the pulmigist too

Good Morning, Everyone! :)

Lil, the prednisone that you are taking is a high dosage, however, one that is necessary to keep your airway open during one of your severe asthma attacks!! I'm glad that they gave you that so you have it on hand - I wonder if they could try a more tapering off dosage for you?!

Barb, hope you aren't aching too badly today?

Hi again Everyone!

Just got home a while ago - decided to go visit the pet store and my friends there along with the birds. :) Then did a little school shopping with my daughter - we're doing it in increments so it's a bit easier? lol We enjoyed it and will hope to finish tomorrow! She began band practices a few weeks ago, but school itself starts on Monday! Wow, her Senior year! Just finished looking at her graduation pics for the year book...Hugs, Teri :)

What a sweet and special time this is with your daughter, Teri.
Some of my best memories of times with my Mom were during my senior year doing shopping trips like yours, and the trip we took on a college search that summer. I'll never forget what a special time it was.

lol Oona!! :) Thanks for thinking of Britt and I, and you are right, even now she reminds me and says, "we're going shopping like we always do, aren't we?!" Tomorrow we do lunch! And I wouldn't let her down for the world!! :)

I hope that you are feeling okay? today and that you are able to get some relaxing time in!

Teri I do remember my senior year back in  1973 yes folks almost 33 years. Well I was a cheerleader and had frineds on the band. The best memories are made in yuor Senior Year. I remember we lived right across from the King Ranch and 7 huoses down from the main enterance on Santa Geretrudis Blvd and  the HS principal live 4 huoses up fo us oh homecoming was a hoot devil   we TP the principals huse in all different colors adn when he woke up he was so suprised then cans behind his car too. LOl but the folks arund theirhow dare they do this in the neighboorhood.but the p[unishment was cheerleaders and Band cleaning it up  he came ut and gave each of a oke and hamburger after we were done. Also the PE coach was our driving instructor too oh the memories she willmake  Teri adn yuo and Mark along with her sit back and enjoy the ride.

Hey teri does the band get to initate the new band members ketshup, mayo, mustard  eggs etc all over them like  the King High band did back in 70's. I remember getting intianted when I became a Chherleader  king High Javelians. And yu know like I do don't mess with Texas and their bands and football teams I lived their for 5 years in texas. And in Fla since June 1973 and am still [partiall to texas they do everything better and the river walk is prettier too.

Hi,

I've been better to be honest.  I am still dizzy and breathless.  I've come close to passing out twice these past couple days.  I am quite tired right now.  I've been doing a lot of thinking about various things and I'm not quite sure where those thoughts will lead yet.  I believe I'm starting to go back into depression.  I'm already taking Zoloft for anxiety so I know it will help that too.  I've got a lot on my mind right now.

lil - will you be able to call your doc on monday and tell him you're still having some tough spells?  that seems only right, that they would continue to listen and help.

heidi - you ex-texan/smalltown/cheerleader you!  i'm shocked to hear that news!  didn't know you were a texan, what small town was it?  i guess i always think of cheerleaders as being proverbially healthy, and i know that's not always true.  have you learned to love florida?  i lived in chicago for 8 years, which i grew to love and would still be there (i'm the one that loves snow!).  texas is just a completely different "environment" from anywhere else i've lived - and i've lived lots of places due to the air force brat status.

hey teri - how was the shopping expedition?  i guess we all have some fond memories of shopping with mom.  but one thing i used to hate that my mom asked me: she would say "can you live without it?"  and i'd have to always say "well, yes, of course i can."  but sometimes that determined whether or not it was purchased!  such a literal child -

lying low tonight, helped my 80-year old friend move most of the afternoon and evening yesterday and way overdid it and still recovering -

I've had a looong day today - Britt and I did not go shopping today - we'll go tomorrow instead, per her choice as she had her band before school party at the pool and then is going out with friends tonight...she baked cookies for a friends birthday and mowed the lawn - oh to have that much energy again! :)

LIbby KIngsville Texas right on Santa Gertrudis Blvd home of King High Brahamas. Loved it lived their 5 years lived in 16 different sates Dad was an officer in the Army. Longest I lived in a place is good le sunny NE Florida Jacksonville sine  JUne of 1973 ok. Yep I still love texas they do thing right and the river walk in san Antino is beautiful ours here is right on the river and ugly.

I am saying the truth.

Teri I got q sick furkid on my hands a 9 or 10 year old  coonhund/blood hound puppy. stomach ache and  passing gas. then hot out nd watching raceing go Tony Stewart wish I could join him in climbing on a fence but i would probably fall down half way up no upper arm strength.

Plan opn going to evening preaching tonight so like teri come on post give us something to do whwen she gets hoema dn me too. Miss seeing Oona,Lil,Libby.Sara poost come on folks.

hey all feeling real good except for back hurt s going to va monday so i can get some diabectic shoes they say i need them and get a scooter t o hotrod around wal-mart with like i need them i just fake it so they will leave me alone i walk pretty good i think but they said they way i did on tread mill says different but they don't no every thing well bored you enough talk later i will be lurking about so watch out yeah

Hey there, Bob, you lurker you! lol It's nice to hear from you - though this scooter thing tells me you are not doing as good as I'd like to hear!! I had to use one of those for a while before my bypass and today, Britt was urging me to use one - but I didn't and now I'm sooo tired. They're pretty cool! - saves a lot of leg energy that's for sure! You take care, Bob, and keep stopping by. :)
