It was another great chat last night and a really interesting subject - thanks, Heidi and all who joined in - glad you got there too Teri! Sorry I had to leave so soon after but I totally crashed lol!. No problems sleeping though!

Hi all, well I had a perfectly awful night. Not much sleep. At least they gave me enough drugs today. In fact I am still kind of out of it. I reminded the doc when I got there and he said he would give me as much as he could so I told him he better or he wouldn't be doing that test ever again if I remembered any of it. The nurse said they had thought I was still awake so I don't know what she meant by that, but the last thing I remember was talking about my kids to her and then waking up in recovery. I was a little tipsy when I left there but couldn't wait to go eat since I hadn't ate any solid food in over 24 hours. Well good thing I finaly gave in and let him do the test because I had 2 polyps they had to remove. Well I'm still sleepy so going back to bed for now. Barb

Barb, I was just thinking of you as I was reading through these posts, so I am very glad you were able to post and let us know that you were okay!! It was a good thing you had the procedure done!  Enjoy your rest, the anesthetics will soon wear off...

I just received some sad news that a very long time email, and heart forum buddy of mine passed away this morning. This was so incredibly hard for me to hear. Steve (Gain), was one of those just very nice guys. He would email me and let me know that he'd read something re me and wrote to check up on me, or would post here or else where and was just a great all around guy! I'm just glad that I had a chance to meet someone so nice.

hi all,

i think i'm going to be losing my one and only furkid in the next few days.  the medical story is too long to go into, suffice to say it's just about time to cross rainbow bridge, and i've spent all night crying.  he's 12 and my little sweetheart.  his name is twig and his picture is on my site, www.libbygilmore.com.  anyway, my poor little ole beatupon heart is just breaking.  thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers for our emotional well being here.

Libby I have been their and done iit 2 in a week and  3 in 5 months it always hurts be loking at yuor inbox for I will sned yu a link to a great site to visit and a candle posting for us who lose a furkid it is just like losing a member of ur family. Libby I am here for you for i also took classes on how to help people handle the loss of their furkids when I started to vol back in 2002.

Oh I culd hug your vets neck with doing it at home that is how Doc who we call, our vet  who was going to do it to Beau the next day but he went in my arms just hold his  body libby tell him yuo love him and yu all will be seperted for a little while he is going to a place free from pain and you will see him one day soon. Oh my heart is truely breaking for you. Coming from me and my heart yu doinot have to make it to chat this Thurday niight after going through this loss you will be greiving more than anyone will now and understand for his was part of your  family and is a kid but had 4 legs and fur. But please go to your inbox today my dear libby at sbc and read the e-mail i sent you ok.

thanks everyone. it has been a tough night here as we know it is the last one. just tucked twig in with darren, our usual nightly ritual. that is twig's favorite place to be at 10:00 at night, "mashed" up against darren as they go to bed together! i just keep thinking..."this time tomorrow night" - everyone keeps telling me great stuff, about the good memories, and that i'm doing the right thing, and i know all that is true, but i am still SO SAD. heidi, thanks SO MUCH for all the wonderful things you emailed me. the rainbow bridge poem is so beautiful. my poor little darling, he has no idea and i know that's for the best. i doubt i'll be on tomorrow night (tuesday). my sweet vet will come and he said sedate twig, not put him down, but sedate him and then twig won't know what's going on and he will take him with him. i am SO appreciative of this man's kindness. it's the kindness of everyone that makes this bearable, especially my HW family.
