Hi boolie!
I just wanted you to know that you are not alone here. I don't have MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse), but I do have stenosis and regurgitation of the Mitral Valve. I've had this particular problem for years and they've told me until it becomes severe, they usually will not do any kind of surgery. Please check out the following source to find out more! My best wishes to you. Hugs, Teri
"What is mitral valve prolapse?"

"If you have mitral valve prolapse, the flaps of the valve don't work well. One of the flaps moves back into the atrium when the heart beats. This can let blood flow from the ventricle back into the atrium.
about 1 in 20 Americans has mitral valve prolapse. People are usually born with it. More women have it than men."
