Hi Unccstar, welcome to Healing Well
Just to get you started, here are some links.
If you research online, search for "non cardiac chest pain".
patients.gi.org/topics/non-cardiac-chest-pain/www.mayoclinic.org/medical-professionals/clinical-updates/digestive-diseases/when-chest-pain-doesnt-come-from-heartubbmc.buffalo.edu/bmc_pain_treatments/noncardiac_chest_pain.phpKeep in touch with your doctor, notify him/her if you experience changes in your symptoms, such as becoming short of breath or unexpectedly dizzy, or if these symptoms are significant, or you have crushing or radiating pain, such as up the neck or down the arm, consider visiting an Emergency Room. I'm thinking that it's not likely your heart, but I'm no doctor, and you'd have to be examined and tested before a proper diagnosis could be made.
It you continue to be concerned, ask your doctor if more testing might be advised. Stress Echo tests show a variety of functions, including blood flow through the heart, valve functions, and by comparing the unstressed heart to the stressed heart, a determination of the adequacy of blood flow to the heart can be made.
Actually, it's a miracle we don't constantly hear our heart beat. Incredibly, I found a link to a question of hearing the heart beat in the left ear that was asked of a doctor, the possible causes are supplied in the article.
