Hi everyone, I have been very busy with work and life in general. We had a nice camping trip over labor day. It was nice to get away from the TV. I've done alot of crying over what is happening down there in the Southern states. I can't believe it is happening in the US. It doesn't seem real. I get really upset when I see the animals and the people that have to leave their animals behind I think it affects me so much because there is no way I could leave my dogs, bunny and bird. I couldn't imagine them fending for themselves. That was so awful yesterday when they showed dogs wandering the streets and then one swimming in that awful water. I am going to do my part by selling the fundraising kits for Avon that are delivered to the victims and then part of the money goes to a fund. They are also going to sell key chains of the shape of the US in RWB and then a gold heart is down in the southern part. Last year they did a pin of the world for the tsunami. I think it is also awesome how they are looking out for all their people. They said they will not rest until they locate all their reps and all other avon workers in the affected states to help them and make sure they are ok. They also donated 250,000 to the effort. Does anyone know of any other companies that are helping their people affected by the storm. It helps to hear stories of help and hope.
Now I am worrying about my son and granddaughter in North Carolina with the next storm coming. He only lives a half mile from the ocean. He's 50 miles from Wilmington where they say it will hit. He just got the baby back out there by him. He is just amazed by her. He is such an awesome father. I never would have imagined him being so good with a baby. He's so gentle, loving and patient with her. She's walking now and into everything. He is also being patient with his wife also. He will forgive her if she wants to come back to him. He amazes me with his attitude and forgiveness. I couldn't have asked for him to turn out any better. Well I'm off to church now. Barb
