Hi jsmit,
Here's some suggested reading.

In terms of weakening your heart, 20,000 per day is often considered the maximum amount, if occurring over weeks, that you can have. More than that and other options are considered.
You can have a normal beat followed by a PVC and this pattern repeats, this is known as Bigeminy. Two normal beats and a PVC, repeating in that pattern, is Trigeminy. Quadrigeminy is also possible.
The existence of the premature beat really doesn't seem to worry doctors, but being sure no other underlying condition exists that is causing it is important. Also, doctors have to be sure you don't have a rhythm disturbance that is dangerous. Mine started when I was 15, 40 years ago, and are yearly in cycles of worsening and improving.
These really are quite common. Avoid caffeine, get as much sleep as possible, no cigarettes, avoid or limit alcohol, and try to relax. Anyone getting them for the first time should always see their doctor, and anyone that normally gets them but notices a change, where they are getting worse, should also see their doctor. Just be sure to follow up with your doctor and listen to any advice they give. Seek a second opinion if you're not happy with the diagnosis or treatment options (if any).
