Hello I am new here. I was told yesterday upon leaving ER I have Bradycardia. Has anyone else here had / have this? This is my 3rd trip since Dec to ER with this 😔. I was there in Dec., March and now. ECG was done yesterday and was abnormal. Last 2 trips I had major chills, vomiting / nauseou and pain in upper abdomen. My heart rate checking in yesterday am was 32, last x 40 something. Any replies from people that have this?

I am post op since 11/2013 with bypass (Pad)

hi there. i recommend to keep in contact with your cardiologist or obtain a referral. i have not had this. i am a tad tachy. always have been. esp under stress. i hope others will come on. have a chat with ya doc. take care. keep posting.

Hi there! I have had bradycardia since April. Was getting palpitations before that. When it gets really low I get cold and diarreah. It makes me feel exhausted. I also get muscle weakness, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. Have they done an echo yet?

Oh wow Nicsic ! That's me 2 a T. My vascar surgeon has known 4 several years now about my palpitations. Each x this has happened to me my whole body would get extremely sweaty to where I "really" had to change my clothes and shortly afterwards is when I went extremely cold just like the other day. The x b4 last in March when I was taken 2 ER, of course I had no idea what was going on. I'd throw up, go back and curl up in bed and just shiver. This went on many x's the next few hours until I just c/not take the nauseou/shivering any longer and was taken back to ER. Each x I was so dehydrated and had to have fluids, ect. Is there anything to do besides what I read about the pace maker? They did do an ECG on me and from what I understand that's how it was diagnosed.

The Happy Turtle 😊 my cardiologist was called in at ER and was conferred with on my case. I am going to call Monday and see about appt. this has become somewhat of a concern needless to say with the amount of x's it's happening. I sure don't like the symptoms, being this tired "or" trips to ER 😔

I know it is such an awful feeling! My worst Brady was in April when it was down to 30s like you. I mostly have beasts everyday now but they are in the 40s or on a good day early 50s. I don't know if this will help you but I find when I eat things high in sugar and salt it helps my heart rate to go back up. I know it's not very healthy but it's a way for me to manage until the fix it. If I get Brady and I start sweating or have shivers I have something instant like a pot noodle or something and either sit by the fire with a blanket or strip off or an alteration of both until my heart rate comes back up. Try and see if certain foods will help. As far as I know a pacemaker is the only way to fix Bradys as long as they rule out that nothing else is causing slow heart rate such as a metabolic disorder or a physical heart defect. It's so nice to talk to someone else going through the same thing! Have you spoke to your cardiologist about getting an echo done? That's an ultrasound of your heart, so he can rule in or out a physical defect that's causing the problem. And is he or has he done any blood investigations; adrenals thyroid etc? Have you ever had you blood sugars checked?

good recommendations. esp metabolic disorder or other physical heart defects. hypoglaecemia is one to look at. it will slow your rate. blood pressure check will be good to do as well. i am a diabetic, so i do know this. yes, get an echo done. take care.

My blood sugar was 156 the other day when I was in ER. I am what they r calling pre-diabetic. ECG only test run other than ultrasound on stomach. They thought it was my gall bladder at 1st. And they checked my kidneys also. I did have more blood work run, have no idea what it all means tho ☺️. Do u get the nauseou to where u r throwing up? Mine goes in2 dry heaving that's the reason Inhave 2 go 2 ER to make it stop and get fluids because I'm dehydrated 😌. Have spot 2morriw w/cardiologist. Thnxs again 4 everyone's responses.

I do get nausea but I never throw up. But I one of those people that never throws up anyway. Even when I was pregnant I got the most severe nausea of my life and never threw up, so that's just me. But the nausea and stomach cramps are pretty severe and I alternate between being absolutely freezing to soaking through my clothes with sweat ( but even when I'm sweating I still feel cold in my core) it feels like someone is rubbing ice up and down the core of my body. That's the only way I can describe it. Do you feel very short of breath with it? How was your oxygen levels? Mine are always normal which I think is a bit strange considering my heart is beating only half the amount of times in a minute than it should. I'd say your cardiologist will do a stress test on you next to see if your heart rate responds to except use etc. it's funny that your sugars where high with a low heart rate( though high sugars could be from the vomiting?) I'm hypoglycaemic which is low sugars. My heart rate definitely falls when my sugars drop but it falls when they are ok too so I don't think that's the main cause with me anyway. I don't know if you read my post but that kind of explains what's happening with me at the moment. Basically I'm waiting for a cardiologist to ring me and tell me what the hell is going on as my echo showed up a possible hole in my heart so we'll see. Keep me informed about your appointment and what the cardiologist said. Xxx
