Panic attack or a dangerous arrythmia ??

It's been happening quite often for the past few months and it only seems to happen when I'm lying down in bed at night,it never happens during the day. for no apparent reason my heart races
(170+200+) it happend last night when I suddenly jolted from a light sleep and boom it probly neared 200 and went irregular as it was slowing down. It was like beatbeat ............beat............beatbeat...........beat............beat............
Beatbeat............beat and so on. Before it happend my heartrate was around 50s mid 60s and Nothing else seems to be effected when these attacks happen my breathing is normal i dont have sob no chest pain and maybe there's a slight dizziness but other than that I feel fine. ??
Echocardiogram which I had in october last the report says"A trace of MR detected and a trace of TR detected" also recently 24hr holter monitor shown "intermittent sinus arrythmia" "diurnal bradycadia of 42bpm" and "1 SVE" during this I never had one of these attacks. I also had an exercise tolerance test recently the report says i lasted 9 mins and there was "reasonable rise in BP and heart rate" there was a brief period where I felt faint during this test but subsided after a few seconds.

hey Daniel. any testing on postural drop for the blood pressure? they can do a tilt table. so some brachy when asleep it seems. no biggy. do you sleep well? some trace m r is standard nowadays. shows ya human. any sleep anxiety or panicking type dreams? this can be resultant with type of attack.

I don't suffer from either. I have general anxiety about my health and im constantly thinking there's something wrong with my heart and worrying about cardiac arrest,I'm convinced that death is imminent. I have a relatively healthy diet, I'm active I do alot of walking everyday, I don't smoke and I drink in moderation and these attacks keep happening. Doctors keep brushing it off as anxiety but I know it can't be because I suffered from panic attacks in my younger years and they were completely different if they are then wouldn't they be happening during the day and not only when Im lying In bed at night when I'm in a relaxed state?? It's very frightening when they happen because it comes out the blue my suddenly becomes so fast I worry if I'm gonna collapse and die. I can't take it im hitting a brick wall trying to find out what's causing it.

panic attacks can differ. health anxiety is different to generalized as well. check out the anxiety forum for info. it seems it is manifesting with your hr. coping skills are the best solution.

Could it be atrial fibrillation because it comes on suddenly and goes over 100.? I worry it could be this

I suffered greatly from anxiety and panicking. I uses to think that my heart rate was extremely fast. But being hooked up on a monitor, when I felt it was over 100. But looking at the monitor, it was in the 80s.

Our hearts beat fast, slow, fast slow throughout the day and night. If you regularly exercise and eat well. Be sure that your body will treat you well.

And even if something might happen, why worry about it? If it's going to happen, it's will hapoen, rather you worry about it or not.

It's best to just live well, treat yourself and others well, and enjoy your life. We didn't bring ourselves into this world. And, unless we our depressed enough to end things; we can't prevent ourselves from leaving here.

Ultimately, if it's time to go, we will go.

So why worry about it? I had to come to that conclusion for myself, because I deal with anxiety and panicking. After my brother spent a month and a half, on life support, and passed. I watched that 38yo man die, and there was nothing we could do to stop it.

He really was too young to go. And he definitely didn't want to go. But it was surely his time to go. We have to learn to be at peace with ourselves, others, and most definitely, our Maker. Let tomorrow worry about itself, and just live each moment to its fullest.

By the way: from an axiety sufferer, to another. What you are describing sounds like aniexty and panic disorder to me.

The brain can cause a whole lot of havoc on our bodies if we let it. Just try no to be a self fulfilled prophecy there.
