Vanilla, how well do you like the cardiologist you are seeing? Does he listen to you & hear your concerns? If the answer is no, I suggest making an appt with your primary care dr & request a referral for a 2nd opinion. I would do this now because it usually takes several weeks to get an appt. I know you have an appt with the dr in March, I would still keep it, but this way you have a back up plan. You can call your cardiologist's office & request copies of the medical records of the testing you have had to date. The 2nd opinion dr needs to see these records when you see him/her.
I have been with a cardiologist group since my late 20's, I am 65 now. The first one I saw in the group, I did not like. I did not like his attitude, manner, well just nothing, lol. I stayed with him for 10 years or so only because this particular group has the top drs in this very large metroplex. I was having an echo test one afternoon, my tech commented that I was long overdue for my test. The tech knew me, he had been there a long time & did all of the echos. He wanted to know why I waited so long, I finally told him, I did not like the dr. He said then you need to see a different dr in the group because you need to be comfortable with a cardiologist. I switched to the one he suggested in the group & I liked him better. I stayed with him many years then got into trouble & was seen by a new dr to their group. I switched to him & like him even better.
Being heard & acknowledged is important.
