Hi! New to this, but had a question... I am 30, wm -- in good shape, boxed for about
10yrs... and sometimes before fights the parameditics would consult with each other after taking my blood pressure (always letting me box), but I would hear that I had high blood pressure readings. I always chalked it up to nerves and stress of the fight upcoming... That was years ago.. about
a yr ago, my doctor listened to my heartbeat, and told me that it was strong, that she could hear the clicks between the beats (or something to that effect), and that was good.
I was just at a CVS, and saw a blood pressure machine, and decided to give it a try. I've never really checked it - and it came up 155 over like 117, which reads high on the chart on that machine. Is there a reason why I could have that reading, is it possible to just have high blood pressure, even though your heathly, eat right, and in good shape? I don't really see doctors much, but when I do, it's always very positive... ? I wouldn't even know where to begin to cut it down, are there over the counter meds for blood pressure? Does this sound like perhaps a symptom of something my doctors haven't really looked for?
