 have been trying to find current information on Viet Nam Veteran's and the effect Agent Orange had on them.  My father died in 1991 at age 60 after 2 1/2 years of terrible illness which I attribute to Agent Orange.  He was a career soldier, served two tours in Nam as an infantryman and Green Beret.  He was diagnosed with Wegner's Granulomotosis, his kidneys failed, he could no longer produce red blood cells and had blood transfusions almost monthly. He developed severe hypotension which is what his death certificate states is his cause of death.  His first heart attack was at age 46.    He also had a part of his lung removed.  He looked 80 years old when he died.
 
My husband, age 60, was in the US Air Force and was stationed on the DMZ at an air base where the Ranch Hands kept and fueled Agent Orange.  The weather observation station he was in was on the air field near the bladders of fuel and chemicals.  He has been unable to produce testosterone for many years, developed hypertension, adult onset diabetes, lately he has experienced bradycardia and hypotension.  I have attempted to look online to find a connection between Agent Orange and the hypotension and cannot find any information. 
 
 
Any information you can provide will be most appreciated.

I'm not sure what type of info you are searching for, but if you Google " hypotension Agent Orange" on the second page there is some info. I will try to look for more.

Hi curious, Welcome to healing well forum.  I am very sorry about your dad and also your husband. 

I am 33 yrs old and have bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome and severe orthostatic hypotension.  I had a pacemaker implanted almost 2 yrs ago this september which helped for the low heart rate...before it was in the 20's but, it did nothing for my blood pressure.  It came on pretty quickly I think.  I recall being sick the whole summer before feeling run down and not right.  Then one morning I woke up and I was totally dizzy and ended up passing out in the living room.  In the end it was found that I acutally have a Autonomic Disorder which is neurological and pretty rare that has caused these issues. 

Anyhow, I think finding any information on Agent Orange is going to be very difficult.  It's one of the things that our government has tried (successfully) to hide the details of.  It is sad that it was our service men and their families who paid the price for that decision and who are still paying.

Thank you for your information and concern.  I am still looking for information but as you say, may have trouble finding it since the government is not too keen on admitting fault or finding health concerns in veterans.  I hope you have continued good health.  curious74432
