I was pefectly healthy till approx 2 years ago when I developed Lyme Disease, I also developed Diabetes and high blood pressure the same time, I was on Lysinopril than switched to Normodine after being on Normodine for approx 6 months my blood pressure was approx 105/70 and I stopped taking the Normodine, I had started haveing high blood pressure episodes that resolved withing an hour while on the Normodine but the happened rarely.
Once I was off the Normodine for about 6 weeks, I started getting palpatations and high blood pressure, chest pain, pain around my arm and back, I went to the ER and they said it may be pericarditis, went to my Cardiologiest did an Echo and said the EKG done in the ER may have been Pericaditis but the Echo is fine, my blood pressure and palpatations continued and it was found I was hyperthroid, I lost weight, couldnt sleep.....I stopped taking my synthroid and am hypothorid, I am currently on Coreg 10mg and Benicar 20mg as my pressure was going really high 160/100 with fluctuations 175/115, I am feeling much better now, doctor claims a person doesnt feel high blood pressure, I get shortness of breath when my pressure goes up, any suggestions of what this may be, I have been treated for Lyme Disease and have stopped treatment approx 6-8 months ago, I also recently developed knee , chest and hip pain, my cardiologies beleives this is an endo issue but whats scarry is my left arm becomes numb when I sleep and I am scared I get a feeling of tightness by my chest and neck if I forget to take my blood pressure meds, I would also like to know how the blood pressure meds help my shortness of breath, I am scared your help and explanations of what may be wrong how to find out what other tests my cardiologies should do
