Do I need a cath?

I am a 62 year old male. I just had a stress test with a treadmill and nuclear medicine. I did the stress test and my heart rate was 164 beats per minute. 12 minutes on the treadmill. After this the heart rate turned to normal within a very short period of time. The nuclear scan was abnormal--lower part of the heart showed something. Heart doctor is unclear what that was. After a 3 hour rest the nuclear test was normal.
Does this warrant having a cath done? What should one do? Thanks

I had a stress test in the past - 9 years ago. I was having trouble going up a hill for a walk. So ever since I have a stress test to make sure there is no more blockage. I changed my diet and started cardio exercise. For 9 years I have been fine. This test revealed something at the bottom of my heart. I want a second opinion-- wouldn't you? My primary physician is scheduling a second stress test with a different cardiologist. I was not having any symptoms. I work out vigorously for 5 days a week now. The heart doctor wanted me to have a angiogram done and possibly have a stent put in. I need another opinion done before the more invasive test is done. Thank you
