Hi, I normally post in Lupus forum, but two months ago or so, I seen my primary Dr. because I was having chest pain, shortness of breath, left side pain from neck to arm. An EKG was done, actually three were done, the Nurse said I needed to see a Cardiologist due abnormal EKG's.
Month later, did Stress Test, Echcardiogram, Calcium Test (think thats right). Today, I went for results, Dr. said all test are normal, I have a good heart. So then I said "So I don't have Mitral Valve Prolapse anymore?", he said alot of people have and you shouldn"t worry about it.
Dr. looked at his notes re: MVP, he stated I still have it, but he told me if anyone asks you if you have any heart conditions just say "no", because if you ever want to get Life Insurance you will be denied.
I then asked why were the EKG's abnormal?, he said "oh, they didn't know how to read the test". Appointment was rushedI guess he wanted to go to lunch.
I wanted to tell him, that his assistant did an EKG also, so did that mean his office don't know how to read test's too.
I'm still having Jolts of pain and last night I actually felt fluid-like feeling in heart area, I didnt even have a chance to tell him that. Dr. just said come see me if needed.
What are your oppinions on my results?
Thanks!
