I am trying to help a friend interpret an autopsy report based on the death of his cousin. Could someone let us know what the following terms and statements mean? No one has explained the autopsy report to him and the medical stataements found in the report are confusing to someone without a medical background.
Soft Plaque?
"Severe coronary artherosclerosis with segmental involvements of both right and left coronary arteries"
"Myocardial fibrosis "
"Left descending coronary artery and right coronary artery show presence of 100% occlusive soft artherosclerotic plaque"
"Segmental severe coronary artherosclerossis is noted in both coronary arteries as well as the circumflex and marginal branches."
"The myocardium shows extensive scarring in the interventricularseptum and portions of the left ventricular musculatue"
He was 46 years old and apparantly showed no signs of any problems. Is it unusual for someone to have no symptoms?
911 was called and he was pronounced dead minutes after arriving at the hospital. Is it unusual for someone with these conditions to pass so quickly?
Any information you could include would be appreciated.
