I have recently been diagnosed with an aortic valve leak somewhere between moderate to severe. Doctors feel I can go a while before I need it replaced.
My big question is this: I was told to stay away from heavy weight lifting, however, I was wondering if anyone out there has the same situation and if they can at least give me an opinion on lifting light weights that do not require me to grunt or close my throat in order to lift. In other words, less weights/higher reps.
