Hi!
Last night I woke up earliar than I normally do and was unable to sleep because I had tachycardia. After awhile it did not go away and I decided to look it up online. One of the first things I saw for it was related to anorexia nervosa. I know I have anorexia however not anorexia nervosa as I'm not trying to loose wait I've simply lost my appetite and have been forgetting to eat. Or when I am cooking for my family everything seems disgusting for some reason, (foods I normally like). I really only ate one meal over the course of the last three days. I had a very stressfull family situation come up three days ago that has made me depressed. I also was recently feeling like I had gerc for about 3 days before all of this. I had a constant very mild burning that would not go away and seemed to come from nowhere, ( I had not eaten anything i could think of that would give me heart burn). A few websites said that those suffering from anorexia nervosa who had resting tachycardia should be evaluated for possible life threatening inflamation. I didn't think only three days would be enough to cause things like this so quickly! I'll admit I did previously have anorexia nervosa for about 6 months when I was about 13 and nothing like this ever happened. I am now a 20 year old woman about ten pounds over weight acordning to the BMI charts however generally healthy other than that. I didn't feel like this could really be true...so I made myself eat a bowl of cereal and went back to bed. Three hours later I woke up again with my heart still racing. My BPM the first time I woke was 106 the second time was 109. i thought eatting food and more rest would make my body go back to normal. Does my body just need a little bit more time to recover from this or should I see a doctor?
