possible HTZ effects?

Today my doc put me on Hydrochlorothiazine (HTZ) 12.5mg for high bp. This is my first day taking it and im noticing that im peeing sooo soo much (yes i know its diuretic) but my mouth, skin is so dry. I mean my end of my fingers are slightly wrinkled as if i was pruny from a long bath. And it makes me feel pretty sleepy. Was wondering if anyone else took this and if so, did it make you have pretty bad dry mouth?

HCTZ will make you urinate more but that will ease up. After one day you may have a dry mouth but sometimes using some sugar free hard candy will help with the dry mouth. You may drink water too.

I really doubt that one day would cause the wrinkly fingers and dry skin in just one day. As with any medicine, side effects are possible. If you continue to have concerns call your pharmist or your PCP.
