I am seeking some answers and I hope to resolve whether it is possible to have an enlarged heart within three months and if medication could have been responsible for the onset of an enlarged heart OR is highly probable that the first medical records were in fact inaccurate? In January my husbands medical records and chest x-ray disclose heart normalcy and no sign of an enlarged heart. In March, his autopsy shows an enlarged heart. Reads: HEART: Cardiomegaly (weight 540 gm) due to concentric left ventricle hypertrophy/ Heart, coronary arteries: Focal mild atherosclerosis. The Pathologist interprets that he would have had an enlarged heart in January, three months prior but further review of the January records continue to ascertain heart normalcy.
Here are more details:
1. During the month of March, he consumed several 75mg Bupropion whereas he began to sweat profusely, skin was ice cold, upper body trembling, breathing difficulty, heart racing, confusion.
2. Years prior, suffered similar side effects and allergic reaction after consuming Penicillin and was rushed to the emergency room.
Genetics:
1. Mother, a smoker, died of lung cancer at age 60.
2. Sister, Bi-Polar, unable to take certain anti-depressant drugs.
