(Ablation) Hello...I am new here

Hello

 

I am a new member.  I had Right Ventricular Outflow Tract - Ventricular Tacjycardia. I just recently had an EP Study and ablation done last Friday.  It was successful since I havent had any more VT since.  I have felt a few flutters here and there almost like a skipped beat but that's about it.  I was told to expect that for a few weeks.  I go back and wear a holter in 6 weeks to ensure all the VT is gone.

My question is has anyone here had RVOT-VT?  If so, did your cardiologist request you have an MRI as well?

Hi and Welcome to HealingWell, Julie!! yeah

 

I'm no expert when it comes to arrhythmias and ablations, but we do have a thread here that pertains to that, I will 'bump' it up so that you can see it and perhaps some of the other members that have had ablations, or problems with arrhythmias will jump in here and let you know what problems they've had!

I do see the cardiac ablation thread but I cant reply to it. The reply feature doesnt seem to be there. Is that because it's locked?

Hi Julie!

I don't have that arrhythmia but I'm glad to hear your ablation was successful!  I had those flutters too after my first ablation.  I'll be having my second ablation on Friday.  Getting nervous again. 

I hope you continue to feel great!

Yes, Julie it got locked because it was getting too lengthy and hard to follow...so now we'll start a new one! :) I didn't realize we didn't have a part II yet.

So you can do the honors if you'd like of posting there!

I just wanted to add that the ablation I had done a week ago was my second attempt. The first time was unsuccessful. That was back in the beginning of April.
I FEEL FANTASTIC TODAY THOUGH! What an amazing feeling it is not to have VT anymore and to be able to feel and live normally.

Julie, I'm glad you added this last paragraph!-It's sure to be a positive thought for Lil to know that a few others have had to have an ablation a 2nd go round.  So Julie, I'm very happy to know you are doing so well now!! tongue

Julie, I'm glad you added about the second attempt too!  Wow...that makes me feel a lot better.  The first ablation I had was successful to a certain extent.  I'm no longer getting heart rates over 200 now...a very good thing!  Now I just gotta get under 170.  Small steps.  :P
