Low Doses of Aspirin Pose Bleeding Risk

New information seems to come out all the time re the heart med.'s that most of us have to take. Aspirin is one of the leading med.'s that is used in preventing Heart Attacks. I read the following article and thought you may be interested as well.

"Aspirin therapy has proven useful in preventing heart attacks, but even very low doses of the drug taken regularly pose a bleeding risk, according to a new report."

A new spin on old data. (and don't the Pharm's WISH they could get a patent on aspirin!)
It must be the best anitcoagulant out there - otherwise, why would the ER's use it for suspected heart attacks? - as soon as you arrive.

I would like to see a side-by-side comparison of the bleeding risks of asprin vs. Coumadin (warfarin), Plavix, Lovenox, etc. - and not just bleeding caused by stomach ulcers.

I am on 325 miligrams of asprin a day double 81 niligrams almost. well I am doing ok from that but when I turn 50 PCp will do endscopy and colonscopy will see then waht it loks like.
