I've been experiencing extreme shortness of breath (SOB) with exercise lately so I've been scheduled for both pulmonary function and heart stress tests. Given my SOB and drastic pulse ox decrease during exercise, my PCP decided that I couldn't tolerate a treadmill stress test & ordered a Lexiscan perfusion test. Has anyone here had this test performed? If so, what should I expect? I'm sort of scared as I've read that it can really throw you to the edge with a racing heart and long lasting headaches. I've been through a lot over the past 10 months I am at that point where I just want to hide somewhere and hope for the best.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
