my hubby has had a recent echo and the gp told him he has severe impairment in the function of his left ventricle. does this mean he has heart failure

Your husband's Dr. is the only one that can dx him based on his Echo. He may need to be seen by a cardiologist.

I think she is holding back from actually telling him what it means.he is waiting to go on liver transplant list and needs his heart to be healthy before they will put him on list.

had letter today confirming he has heart failure. he is being treated with bisoperol digoxin and frusemide but he had a kidney transplant some years ago and im worried frusemide may affect that and he now needs a liver transplant and I don't know if he can be made well enough to go on list. cry
