Some drugs should be free

"Specifically, researchers found a group of medicines called ACE inhibitors should be available at no cost to the 8 million Americans over age 65 who have diabetes. The scientists said those drugs are so beneficial, even giving them away would save society large amounts of money by preventing heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure."

"In the US, Medicare could save money by covering the full cost of providing people with diabetes with drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, according to a new report. ACE inhibitors prevent expensive complications, but patients' out-of-pocket costs for the drugs pose a barrier, the investigators explain."

Good information Teri

wish I was 65 and could get Ace free for I am on one. but for my heart not for Diabetes though. and if Stan needed one  he wuld have to pay for it for he is not 65 yet. Gosh this bears loking into more.
