Hello,
I'm hoping to pick someones brain and hopefully get some information about my situation.
Basically my heart rate tends to increase for not particular reason. As an example, and currently the biggest immediate issue I'm having, when I go to sleep my heart rate is between 47 - 55 BPM, however almost every night I snap wide awake with my heart rate anywhere from 80-120 BPM. It doesn't make an sense. The other issue I have is my normal daily heart rate is usually between 55-65, sometimes up to 70. However sometimes just sitting my heart rate is up around 80-90, and there is no reason for it to be that high.
I do have GERD / Acid Reflux that can be bad at times, and I may have some anxiety issues. I've had every non invasive heart tests: echo-cardiogram, heart calcium score, chest x-ray, chest ct scan, ekg, heart event monitor, stress test, and seen a cardiologist that said anything was normal. He ordered a 30 day event monitor, this is my second one, but he believes GERD and Anxiety are the cause of my issues.
I'm becoming frustrated because I cannot seem to find answers and I haven't been able to sleep more than 4-5 hours for 5-6 weeks now. I feel so tired, fatigued, headaches, and dizzy. I'm worried I might have an arrhythmia or something wrong with my heart rate. I mentioned above I may be having anxiety issues, there are times I do feel anxious which those I'm not worried about because I can explain it, but a lot of the time it just seems to come out of left field. I'm not sure if GERD can effect heart rate or not.
