Hi, I am 40 yr old female who has had severe migraines, tightness in my chest, shortness of breath that would cause me to cough and just recently found out after a bubble study and a tee that I have a pretty large hole causing right / left shunting. The cardiologist told my husband while I was coming out of sedation that I would need surgery, but he could not do it I would need to go to another cardiologist that could do it. I was told no strenuous activities, My job is strenuous,so they had me out of work until my appointment. So got in to see the cardiologist at which point he tells me the surgery is not a option, and basically told me to listen to my body if Im feeling like Im over exerting myself to slow down. Basicly I'M on my own. He made an appointment to see a neurologist for my migraines with aura. I want to know if anyone has any advice, because the first cardiologist seemed very concerned and said Im a high risk for stoke, heart failure. So I'm A ticking time bomb. I'm not wanting to pile up medical bills if everyone is going to tell me the same. Is there anything I should look into or am I really a ticking time bomb.
