Abnormal EKG

Hello. I had chest pain, sweating, leg pain when elevated and light headiness as if I was going to fall over. My DR did an EKG and the T waves were abnormal, the report stated possible ischemia. He sent me to the ER and I had an abnormal EKG there as well. The ER Dr said the EKG results could always show abnormal for no reason. ? I was then referred to a Cardiologist and had an abnormal EKG there also. I am now set to have an ultrasound on both legs and then a heart cath. My question: How normal is an abnormal EKG?
