Oh Delta, Your story brought tears to my eyes. Cece sounds exactly like my precious Babycakes. She was a Shih-Tzu who will be gone one year this Friday March 17th. She adored her toys and "babies" so much I was always buying her new ones all the time and pig ears to chew one were her favorite treat. When my husband and I (when I was still married) decided she needed a playmate we got another Shih-Tzu we named Isabelle. It took Baby about
two years to adjust to her. She also was like that with her toys and often hid them and growled at Izzy to not come near them. When Babycakes died last year we buried her with all of her beloved toys except one that I kept.
I now have a fat (21 pounds) grey tabby cat named Normandy. He has quite the personality. He sits at the back french doors and watches the bird feeders for birds. He actually chirps when he sees one and his tail starts to twitch really fast and he will even drool on himself. He was a kitten out at the stables where my mom keeps her horse boarded and he was pretty well starved as his mom had disappeared and the kittens didnt know how to hunt for them selves. They were eating frogs and grasshoppers. Anyway he is my little boy...
