Alright, I went to Wisconsin for a family trip, and soon after suffering a single mosquito bite, my heart felt fast, and it raced in my chest. It has been a week or so, and my heart fluxuates between beating hard and a barely detectable beat. My Resting Heart Rate is 91 and im 15, and my pulse is always detectable, strongly. My left leg constantly goes numb, but I stay in a chair most of the day. Im not exactly in great shape, but im not that bad, im skinny, and defenitely still going through puberty. My left leg goes numb 5 times a day, and my right goes numb 2 times a day. Another peculiar thing is the fact that my chest feels heavy and I cant take full breaths without experienceing tightness and discomfort. My hand sometimes go numb, but not nearly as common as my feet, which are also shedding skin like mad, but only my feet. What is up?
EDIT: My hands also tremble slightly unless they are absolutely relaxed (like if i hover my hands above the keyboard, my hands tremble)

Hi boot117, Welcome to healing well forum. I would seriously doubt that a mosquito bite would cause any of the symptoms you are describing. It sounds as if your paying a lot of attention to what is going on in your body down to counting how many times your legs/feet go numb...perhaps your having some anxiety problems? A resting heart rate of 91 is really going to depend on how long you were resting, if you had any caffeine for the day (sodas or sugars), if you take medications or if your in the heat. All of this affects your HR. I cant comment on the shedding of skin as I have no idea...I would suggest that you speak to your parents and have them get you in to see a physician. It never hurts to get these things checked out, especially if it is something that is really bothersome to you. Please let us know how it goes. Take care

well, my science teacher always told me to get an average on everything and see if its abnormal, but I was just checking if it might be West Nile (which I thought extremely unlikely, but its always possible) and my RHR was 91 after 15 minutes of just sitting there.

boot, how often do you use your Albuterol Inhaler? Were you having any problems with shortness of breath that day? Fact is that asthma can and will raise your heart rate and use of the Albuterol will most certainly do so for many hours afterward. Depending on when your trip was and when this mosquito bit you...I would say that your chances of contracting West Nile disease is very slim to none. You would show some flu like symptoms by now and within the first few days of exposure to it. Perhaps, it was humidity? I don’t know as I am not a physician, this is why I have recommended that you speak to your parents to see about a doctors appointment so that he can address your concerns.

I dont use it commonly...my symptoms are fluxuating now. My head feels light, and it feels like theres something smothering my lungs. Every time I take a drink of water my head pounds. My heart is still irregular, though my legs and hands dont go so numb, and I constantly have a headache. The smothering feeling changes, and doesnt last that long. I am now in good shape, since I exercise at least 3 hours a day. My heart also feels oiled, if you know what I mean.
