Hi Will, i definitely think losing weight would be my first choice, but if you cannot do it and add excersize than you will need to do something. your numbers are a bit scary especially at your age, really any age, but you are very young. your hdl is too low, needs to be at least 45 and preferably 50. the triglycerides are okay. i will tell you right now that if you will add fish oil capsules to your daily routine and only a palm full of raw almonds, in three months or less your good cholesteral will raise and your triglycerides will go lower. please try to lose the weight and start to walk at least three times a week, and i bet you will not need any meds. good luck, i know you will get a lot of good advise from others. bye
