Question about Low Blood Pressure

Hi Chartreux, No, your question isnt silly at all...most people dont understand blood pressures and can easily get freaked out when they see theirs and feel that it is too high or too low.

If your blood pressure was 109/64 then that is an excellent blood pressure for most people.  The ideal BP is 110/70....but everyone is differant and age, weight, diet, medical diagnosis and of course medications all are a factor in determining your BP.

I have a rare autonomic disorder called MSA and one of the major things with it is low blood pressure and orthostatic BP.  So my BP runs about 80's/50's most days and when I stand up it drops even lower sometimes...There have been days, like last week when it runs lower and I am passing out when standing or even sitting up as it is so low, that is when it is 50's/30's...I do take the only 2 medications on the market to help raise BP but sometimes they dont help too much.  SO that is low blood pressure...I wish I had your BP!
