Hi I am 25 years old and have been experiencing PVCs and PACs since I was 16. I did all the Holter Monitering and Electrocardiagrams and the works, all of which showed a normal strong heart so my doctor told me not to worry about it. The only thing is that I get the palpitations constantly and they have increased as I age. Now I am seeing a new Electrophysiologist who wants to run a new series of tests and we are talkig about doing a Catheter Ablation. We are not sure if it is mostly PVCs or PACs that are the problem, nor which side of the heart that they are occuring on, but whatever the case, I am eager to get the ablation because I am tired of having my heart flip out all the time! I feel too "young" to have to worry about having a heart attack! And worse, the palpitations make my pre-existing anxiety condition worse! SO, I was wondering if anybody else out there has what I have and what are their thoughts about ablation? I have read some articles about people getting ablated and then becoming symptomatic again... so I want to know from people if it does actually work and is it really a "cure"?
Thanks!
Sincerely,
A bit scared, fed-up, and curious,
Huggie
