My event monitor report showed frequent PVC in a trigeminal pattern. Alos one 8 beat run of nonsustained irregular narrow complex tachycardia - what is that? It said it may have represented a nonsustained burst of atrial fibrillation. No susained arrhythmias identified on any of the transmissions. Symptoms appear to correlate with periods of increased ventricular ectopy in general. What is ventricular ectopy? I can't get in to see the cardio until Sept. 26th. Any help would be appreciated - especially about the irregular narrow complex tachycardia.

Ventricular ectopy is "heart flutter" or tachycardia meaning irregular fast heart beat. Non-sustained narrow complex tachycardia is SVT. SVT is a type of arrythmia that starts in the atria or the AV node. Since yours is non-sustained and lasted for only eight beats is a good thing. A-fib, SVT and PVCs are generally nothing to worry about. They are generally controlled with medication if at all. It think it would really depend on the overall health of your heart and your medical history. A cardio doctor or electrophysiologist would be able to tell.

I know a little about Trigeminal Patterns but have never heard of it regarding the heart. I only have a little experience with it when refering to three cranial nerves and face pain caused by a problem with those nerves.
