Burning Pain

Hi, i have been wondering is a symptom of GERD a burning pain in the upper back as i have had this for a month or so and i am due to go for an endoscopy next week. Also have indigestion at times and a feeling of nausea upon waking. I was prescribed ranitidine but have been told to stop taking it now due to having the test next week. Have been worried about stomach ulcers etc as i am slightly aneamic and have lost abit of weight although the weight loss may be due to diet change such as eating more salads, cutting out alcohol and snacks!

I have burning pain in my upper back on my shoulder blades & also get pains in the neck & a feeling of a very sore throat. I had a endoscope which said i had a raw esophagus but was not barretts. It never showed any ulsers or anything else just a lot of inflamation due to acid. The doc put me on ppi's but I still not had any releif after 3 different types. I am on aciphex at the moment if this dont work in a month the doctor said they will give me a ph test to see how much acid I produce. Hope this helps you & hope you get releif from ppi's as I know its very uncomfortable & it messes your whole day up. BTW I lost a lot of weight due to all the pain I was in think a lot of it was worry & finding ways of eating better.

I have such a burning throat it is driving me nuts. I got some relief from it and now it is back...will use vicous lidocaine next.
