Hi All:
I am looking for some answers to my problem.
I have been throwing up every morning and sometimes during the day and night for the last three years. The doctors said it was acid reflux. I was on every pill possible for acid reflux. They did not work.
I wake up every morning with phelm. I have something to drink (water, coffee, ice tea, grape juice, anything really) and I have to throw up. If I have coffee or tea later on in the day, I throw up. I don't drink those things anymore. Certain things I eat or drink do trigger it. I don't really eat or drink those things anymore. The things that trigger it, does sound like acid reflux symptoms but nothing has fixed it (medicine, or stop eating or drinking)
I went back to my primary dr. and she said maybe I had H Pylori.
I did test positive for that and was on the horrible anitbiotics for two weeks. It did go away but I still continued to throw up.
I went to a gastro dr and had the endoscopy done.
Everything was fine with that test. The only thing was my esophagus was a bit inflamed.
I was put on aciphex and reglan. I still continued to throw up.
I was sore on the right side where my gallbladder was. I went through a bunch of tests for that and the end result was my gallbladder was only working at 4% and it had to come out. The dr. thought that was my problem for throwing up everyday.
I had the gallbladder removed. I didn't throw up for a couple of days after it was removed. I thought I was cured. I did start to throw up again.
I have been tested for diabetes and that was negative. I have had the gastric emptying scan done and my stomach is only emptying at 22%. That is why the doctor thought I had diabetes because the nerves in my stomach were damaged. Well I don't have diabetes.
I have gone to other doctors on long island and they are all baffled as to what I have.
I think I need to find a smart doctor in nyc to try and figure out what I have.
Anybody know any doctors in nyc or have had similar symptoms like I have or have any answers? I would love the help.
Thanks,
Sunrse
