Hiya guys.....Hope someone can help me with this. In January I had the severe flu bug, I had never had it before. Long story short, I had bruised ribs from coughing so bad and it took forever to get over it. After the flu was gone, I went to the Er for horrible chest pains or what I felt were heart pains. The Dr. did a chest xray and said due to my descript
ion it was more likely chest wall than heart. So I said ok and went home with a pepcid. Two weeks after that I had severe pains in my chest again and then now was having severe headaches that wouldnt go away with pain meds. I started taking methyledprednisone for the muscle parts (prescribed by and ENT) and the pain got better. 2 weeks later I'm back in ER for bad chest pains, I get an EKG and they also did Cardio Enzymes and it all looked ok. Doctor sent me home with list of meds for heartburn. I find out I have esophagitis ( excuse my spelling) and Gastritis. Things have been feeling better until last night. After not having headaches or pain for about
4 days I got up to go into the kitchen and had this pain that felt like it was a hot needle piercing my heart from the bottom up, it did it once then did it again, took 2 seconds and happenend one more time. My sister had triple bypass at age 30 and was dead at 37, my concern is this, At what point does it become heart related and if cardio enzymes looked good and EKG looked good 1 week ago can this still just be the heartburn aspect of it. The pain was more severe than I have ever had and of course it freaggin terrifying. The Dr. told me anything chronic is something wrong but not ER status. PLease let me know if the pains from GERD or heartburn can be that severe, I guess with family history it scares me to death and I'm finding releif in reassurance I just need alittle more, Help if you can and God Bless
