I have read many posts on these forums and am getting educated fast but, I don't understand something.
I started having problems 5 yrs. ago and was dx with gastritus. My symptoms then were the burning in my chest. Took prevacid for a number of months, went off it and was fine for the next 5 yrs.
I then had a terrible pain on my right side that would go to my back. This would happen during the night and would subside after a couple of hrs.(Not everynight but about twice a month.
My Dr. ran me through a battery of tests including a Hida scan that was 28%. He didn't want me to remove my gallbladder and put me on Prylosec. Within 2 days of taking the medication I felt fine and was able to eat anything I wanted with no problem.
about 1 month ago after a stomach virus, I started to with a sour taste in my mouth and nausea. It continued until I had it everyday about 1hr after eating.
The Prylosec was not working so my Dr. doubled the dose to 40 mgs. daily and I also take galviscon when I need it.
My question is that even though I don't have the sour taste I still have tremendous liquid in my mouth after eating so much so that I keep swallowing and it keeps coming........is this still coming from my stomach??
I also have nausea that the galviscon has been helping.
I would appreciate any feedback and sorry this is so long.
