Bootheel is seems that sometimes the meds just don't work. In my case, they aren't.
Hope someone else can provide more info.
My meds had been working well for several years. Last February, I started experiencing more discomfort, so I went back on Prevacid 30 mg twice a day. For the past two evenings, I've had burning pain as bad as I've ever had it, although I've not eaten anything unusual. So I guess you could say that I'm in the same boat: meds just aren't holding it any more--for the time being, at least.
Glad you got that prostate business cleared up. I suppose there's nothing like the feeling of walking around with a time bomb between your legs. My endoscopies weren't difficult at all, although I was very apprehensive beforehand, too. They're over very quickly. The only discomfort I felt was when they put the IV in the back of my hand--but I always hate that.
Your body still may be readjusting from your surgery, too, and that takes time. I remember that it took six months before my tiny incision for an appendectomy quit hurting.
You might want to take a look at your life, too, to see if there are any new sources of stress in it, as stress makes *everything* feel worse.
