got 24 hr reflux probe today and no reflux symptoms go figure!!

well got my probe in at 12 today and have had lunch and afternoon snack and no reflux symptoms except for my ususall burping after everything...........no neaseua which has been severe for the last few days, no PND, no tight throat, no acid taste blah blah, im freaking out that its going to come bakc fine and my surgeon will think im a nut case!!,  i hope tonites meal which im having bacon will set me off!!!!!!!!! i pray for bad day tommor morning lol please oh please....

has anyone had a test on a great reflux day(which i must say hasnt happened to me i dont get good days, except today!!!)

anyway did you have a good day and get the results back still showing reflux i need some reasurance.

Hi beemer! I had one of my better days when I had my probe. Make sure you eat all the rubbish you can! Lots of coffee, chocolate and spicy things! smilewinkgrin When you go to bed, don't forget to lie down flat! This was when my reflux really showed up as bad as I was refluxing for hours while asleep (until it finally woke me up)!

I had two BRAVOs for acid. The first fell off in the first 15 minutes and the second found NO acid in 48 hours. I'm beginning to think that I don't have Acid Reflux but probably Bile Reflux. I saw a surgeon who thinks I probably still need a Nissen. Hope this helps.

I understand your frustration as it never fails you can be in pain for days and when you need the sx to be there you are all of a sudden cured.

A miracle.  idea

I twice had the monitors placed in me and, to my surprise, the results confirmed GERD.  I'd been experiencing what various specialists thought were a myriad of problems, but none of that was confirmed.  GERD was the culpret.  I had no heartburn, ever.  I was on 2-40 mg. Nexium twice a day.  At first Blue Cross/Blue Shield refused to pay for that quantity of medication, but after confirming the test results and my file, they paid for it.  I slowly, over a 4 year period, backed off Nexium completely and now only take it when undergoing particular stress (such as recent surgery).  Until the monitoring/probe the Psych. folks were going to place me on some strange drugs because they thought the root of my problem was psychological.  Best wishes for good results.

its morning here, i had some reflux im sure last night after tea, and im feeling sick today so hopefully a good sign, i will be happy if it shows just some reflux (more than normal) i dont need severe reflux showing to warrent further tests or the nisson op which is what im looking at....

thanks guys will let you no my results once i get them
