Hello,
I had the nissen done about
10 days ago now and thought that I was doing fine - i can eat pretty much everything up to he consistency of mashed potato and haven't got many things stuck. I had some trouble swallowing liquids at first but am ok now.
However over the last day or so I've had a terrible burning in my oesophagous wich is pretty similar to the reflus I used to get - although nothing's come up into my mouth yet. Do you reckon this could be the reflux come back? Does this mean that the nissen hasn't worked?! I had a feeling they didn't do it tight enough as everything was going so well!
Please reply if anyone's had a similar experience.
Thanks so much,
Allie x

Your esophagus might be irritated from the surgery u had done. I think u need to be patient and give your body time to adjust.

Hi Allie, I'm thinking that outtlaw has it right!, I had something similar and it did go away (I did check with my Dr.'s at home though...just to make sure!).
Hang in there!

Ok, thanks a lot.
I thought that it might be because I didn't take my painkillers for a bit so have started them again.
