White Spots in Feces

Hi, I'm new here.

I noticed after my most recent bowel movement that there are white round spots in my feces.

Does this point to something GI related? I am nervous that it is worms and am hoping it is not.

I'm waiting to see a Gastro but my appointment isn't until next month, so I was wondering what this might be or if it was something that would need to be taken care of immediately.

Max, if it was me, I would be collecting a few of the white spots and be examining them.  Use a toothpick and see what it really looks like.  It could be a type of worm or also fat deposits from your diet.   If you make an appmt make sure you have saved a few of the white spots to take to the doctor.  You can do it now and refrigerate the sample.  Even call the doc and tell them, they might want you to drop it off at a lab before appmt un-refrigerated.  Different samples require different handling.

One time I saw a lot of red coloring in my stool, about panicked till I remember I had eaten beets the day before--that is what it was too.

I've recently seen the same white stuff in my stool and the color of my stool was very light brown. this happened after getting abdominal cramps, diarhea, nuasea and headaches. I've been taking sauerkraut that I made myself, for ten days and I figured that the probiotics was killing of some yeast infection, maybe the white stuff was yeast? The die-off lasted two days and I felt a whole lot better afterwards, clearer head. I will continue my regimen of sauerkraut and see if that happens again.
