Esophageal Spasm

I have read lots of the other posts in this forum and I think I have esophageal spasms. I have been thinking it was IBS for a long time due to constipation and abdominal pain. But the worst pain is in the my chest (left side) under my rib cage where I get spasms all the time which mimic heart palpatations. I get a lot of gas build up (or at least thats what it feels like) right in the middle of my chest. I get some acid reflux and I get some burping all the time. I have tried a lot of different things for this problem mostly which were treating IBS. Enzymes, Good Bacteria, Acupuncture, Naturopath, and all sorts of diets, and anti-depressant medications. I have had a colon scope and gastro scope and CT scan all which looked fine. Is it possible to get these spasms and everything will still look normal on a gastroscope??

I have another appointment with a GI in a week. Just looking for some help on what questions to ask and if any of you have had any success with treatment. Thanks

I had spasm too for 3 months in 2007. I took nexium ,carafate, and ate soft food.
